JagStart - IUPUI Student Idea Pitch Competition
JagStart is an annual student idea pitch competition that rewards IUPUI students for their innovative ideas to solve challenges facing the nation and the world. The emphasis of the competition is on finding answers to real-world problems through new approaches, products, services, or business ventures. In a three-minute "elevator" pitch format, individuals or teams are asked to propose original solutions to pressing social and economic issues.
Innovation to Enterprise Central (ITEC) Commercialization Teams
ITEC facilitates the creation and support of collaborative multidisciplinary research commercialization teams, consisting of students from multiple academic disciplines, faculty and other participants. The primary purpose of these teams is to provide students a unique opportunity to work with mentors on learning about research innovations and exploring opportunities for their transformation into commercial enterprises. The ITEC experience is meant to promote students' interest in invention and business development, in order to prepare the next generation of innovators and business leaders, who will contribute to the economic growth and social advancement of Indiana and the nation.
ITEC is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and, a collaborative effort between the Center for Research and Learning (CRL) and in partnership with IUPUI academic and research units.
