Apr 09, 2010 — On Friday, April 9, 2010, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and its affiliated units (Center for Research and Learning and Solution Center) hosted the second annual IUPUI Research Day. With hundreds of faculty, staff, students and community partners in attendance, this open-house event allowed participants to interact with IUPUI’s researchers and see how research and creative activity happening on this campus are reaching across the city, state, nation and the world. This event was successful in meeting its primary objectives of showcasing IUPUI’s cutting-edge research and scholarly activities, and bringing together a diverse cross-section of the IUPUI faculty, staff, and students, as well as our community partners.

Students Research Down Syndrome

Jul 13, 2009 — Dr. Randall Roper, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology, has come to know and benefit from the curiosity, enthusiasm and sheer energy that IUPUI students have for research. This summer his lab is teaming with student researchers that include four graduate students from the Department of Biology and the Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine; four undergraduate students associated with either the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP), Undergraduate Research Opportunity Programs (UROP) or the Department of Biology; and a high school student from Project SEED.
